چکیده

This article introduces a decentralized model predictive controller (DMPC) to ensure power sharing and regulate dc bus voltage in microgrids (MGs) with constant load (CPL). The proposed method replaces the conventional primary layer of MGs, i.e., inner loops droop control, single optimal controller. A automatic system is realized for prediction purposes be used cost function. control objectives are then incorporated function attain an state switching each sampling time, hence regulating accurate current among MG. solution provides fast dynamic response zero steady-state error. effectiveness verified by hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) real-time experiments, results compared control.

Stability analysis of DC microgrids with constant power load under distributed control methods

Constant power loads (CPLs) often cause instability due to its negative impedance characteristics. In this study, the stability of a DC microgrid with CPLs under a distributed control that aims at current sharing and voltage recovery is analyzed. The effect of the negative impedance on the behavior of distributed controller are investigated. The small-signal model is established to predict the ...

Economic Droop Scheme for Decentralized Power Management in DC Microgrids

This paper proposes an autonomous and economic droop control scheme for DC microgrid application. In this method, a cost-effective power sharing technique among various types of DG units is properly adopted. The droop settings are determined based on an algorithm to individually manage the power management without any complicated optimization methods commonly applied in the centralized control ...

Decentralized model predictive based load frequency control in an interconnected power system

This paper presents a new load frequency control (LFC) design using the model predictive control (MPC) technique in a multi-area power system. The MPC technique has been designed such that the effect of the uncertainty due to governor and turbine parameters variation and load disturbance is reduced. Each local area controller is designed independently such that stability of the overall closed-l...

Minimax Model Predictive Operation Control of Microgrids

Due to the steady growth of decentralised distributed generation, the operational management of small, local electricity networks (microgrids) is becoming an increasing challenge to meet: How to provide an operational control for microgrids with a high share of renewable energy sources (RES) that is robust to perturbations? In this paper we address an optimal control problem (OCP) that maintain...
